As much as we would all like to just keep layering on the DHA for our deepest darkest dreamiest tan… at some point we need a reset and a restart. And to get our next best tan, we need what we call a “CLEAN SLATE.” Nothing feels better than freshly shaved, exfoliated, clean skin. The Clean Slate Kit will give you exactly that, you will be feeling like a whole new you! Any spray tan artist will tell you that 80% of your tan results comes from your pre and post care. And we would argue that the pre care is the most important step in your tan routine. Having properly prepped skin creates a perfect canvas for your tan and ultimately determines how even your tan will look and fade. Exfoliation is an absolute necessity prior to spray tanning and even self tanning, the skin must be free of dead skin cells, product build up, and oils to be able to evenly and fully absorb the DHA.
Even if it seems that your previous tan or products are removed, there is often still remnants in the pores. So adding the Clean Slate Kit to your repertoire and routine will be game changer in your tan results.
Start by removing any old tanning products with our Glow Undo Tan Eraser. This product is amazing at removing tan solutions while still being gentle on the skin. It is formulated to remove DHA, so it can be used on any areas tan solution needs to be removed (i.e. hands and feet that got a little too much product on them and over developed). We have all had oddly colored hands and feet at one point that we had to either wait to wear off, or use every cleaning product in the house to create a magic remover…. thankfully we solved this problem for good. For these smaller and specific areas, a cotton ball or pad can be used to rub off any unwanted tan. For a complete and fresh start or to prep for your next tan, we like to use this all over by applying the product on a paper towel and rub in circles, prior to showering.
Once in the shower, you can then use the Exfoliating Mitt on wet skin to remove any remaining tan solution and dead skin cells. This combo is sure to remove every last bit of tan and leave your skin feeling baby smooth and brand new, and ready to be bronzed once again!
